.:I drop my balls, but i pick’em back:.
last week i prepared a pile interpretation report on behalf of my manager. i were say is a important report. this report will determine the future pile length we will use for the project. and if the client not agree, they can stop the piling work, and will cause delay to the project again. wtf!!!
the report is Pile interpretation report, means that, there r many methods and approaches to analyze the pile performance and make the interpretation…different engineer can give different interpretation…as contractor, we will submit the report on our point of view, client’s consultant will prepare their own report too…but the outcome is expected not much differences…
the next day we submitted the report, client call up a meeting with my manager to discuss bout the report, my manager is quite confident with our approach…n me too… only my manager and my boss went for the meeting…but during their meeting…i got a call..WTF!!! is boss calling…i am sure there are somethings happened…he asked me to go to the client’s office…i feel so nervous…thinking what’s wrong wit that report? i do mistake? diu lo…i am so gonna die if i do mistake…
knocked the door and walked it…5 pairs of eye staring at me…”look, come and take a look wit this graphs, why is different with our graph?” my manager asked me…the graph is generated from the pile performance data, it supposed the same from our site and client site, but when i look at both graphs, are so different…OMG…and the client engineer asking me why with a unpleasant tone, “do u alternate the data?” ,” u are not supposed to change anything from the raw data”…i drop my balls that time!!! i really dont know how to ans…i took 3 seconds to calm myself down, n i explained to them, i didnt change anything from the raw data, which i pretty sure i didnt…the graph is created using excel, i said may be some error on the data sheet…i need to check back the data sheet…then we postponed the meeting after lunch…
on the way back, my manager and boss asking me whether i make mistake or not? i dont think so, cause i check the reports few times..i am pretty confident to myself…i told them, either my input data is wrong or their input data is different with the original, but i am sure mine is correct, so instead of mine, i guess client’s data is different..
reach the office, check back the data sheet!!!! THANKS GOD…i didnt do any mistake, is client’s…my manager said, “u save my reputation, if is ur mistake, i need to responsible for u”…lol!!! then we find the reason why client’s data is different…and we found out that, they decrease the data value in average 25%…
the meeting in the afternoon, we pointed out the differences and the reasons, the client’s engineer said that the reason he decrease the 25% is taking the lower bound of the pile performance, but we strongly disagree with his argument, cause in the previous meeting, we agreed will only obtain the average value of the pile performance…we should follow the meeting’s decision…our interpretation is not wrong, just client’s interpretation is more safe…but we already giv factor of safety 2.5, client still wanna be sure? wtf!!!!!!!! is a huge cost impact….
the conclusion is, we told client, we will stand firm on our interpretation, they can request us to provide higher Factor of safety, but they need to bear the cost, or if they dont agree wit our report, pls reply the reply officially with technical evidence that can prove us is wrong…client’s engineer speechless…huhu~feel so happy at that moment…at least i didnt drop my boss and manager face…lol…
i feel so relax…after the meeting…n its thursday…i think i shud celebrate…LOL!!! I drop my balls, but i pick’em back!!!! phewwwwww!!!!!!!

You never had balls to drop the 1st place… wahahaha.. joking~
And wtf, u guys let your client’s engineer off the hook just like that? at least humiliate him a little… that shitty pants , what he thinking ? Bob-The-Builder? make mistake should apologize.. Lack of parental discipline..
You should bounce back that question.. “WHY” (with the you-son-of-a-b*tch stare.) Hahaha.. twist of fate..
Wahlau…damn lucky you weh….hahahaha…but good for you to insist you will check data first befire give answer, instead of kowtow straight to them and apologize for sth that was not your fault…..good job bro
take care…
That’s why minutes of meeting important liao….imp to stick to the decisions as well, so you can pick up your cajones(balls) back….hahahahahahaHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA……
yup!! minutes of meeting is dam important, is part of the contract and commercial thingy, can act like a agreement too…dam power!!!!
every word, every number we mentioned, implication is there…
